First off I want everybody to know what a Roleplay Tutor is. It's like a tutor in real life, (like one that teaches you math at school) except, we're teaching you about Roleplaying and how to do better on it. If you're having trouble then these rolepkay tutors will come to your aid and help you. Now, remember, we're not trying to be mean and say you're terrible and need help, we're just saying that we would love to help you to make you a BETTER roleplayer, and everybody needs help sometimes.
Like for example, (I have permission to say) HyliaKitty could use some help with her detail. She would go to a RP tutor herself possibly (even though she's an admin) and ask for help on detail. See, it isn't to hard for her to do is it? It'd be better if you went to an RP tutor on your own instead of somebody having to point it out to you. Don't worry, nobody's gonna make fun of you because you need help, there's nothing wrong with getting help. And please, if somebody PM's you or tells you in the chat-box that you may need to think about having tutoring, do not get upset and start an arguement.
Now that I cleared up what a tutor is here are some other things you should know:
You should always make sure to clarify what you need help with. If you don't, your post might be deleted or you will get a post back asking to say what you need help with (and that can be a little embrassing, clearly showing you did not follow any rules here) so here is a little introduction I put to help you.
Also, don't give a long explanation that'll confuse the tutors just make it short and simple. Like, if you need help doing your characters personality or history then thats all you have to put. Don't go put a five paragraph description of what you want when you can clearly put it down in a sentence.
The RP tutors can work with you better if they have an example of your work with you. So put with your introduction a link to a piece of work you did yourself. You can do one that has your best work, and one that you did in a jiffy. But please, don't make the tutors go looking for one thereselves. Here is what you should put:
Easy and simple, don't have to do much work do we?
Here are some Better Not Do's:
1. inserting a particular tutors name into your thread title without their permission. Unless you have PMed or Cbox notified a Tutor, you are not allowed to write the title of your thread My Help Thread [Tigger]. This is really confusing when it happens, when the tutor finds three threads with their name on it.
2. inserting a bunch of links to threads. We just don’t have the time to read them all. Give one or two examples and copy/paste it into your post! No need for a load of things to look through!
3. not ending the thread. If you got the help you need, make it clear the thread is over, so we can sort it into a sub-board, OR you can bring up a new issue.
One last thing that I would like to cover. Your thread title must have your name and the topic. If you have a tutor in mind (that you have asked) then put the tutors name beside the Topic. If you don't have permission then do not put a tutors name down. Example of how it should be:
HyliaKitty Needs Detail Help (Tigger)
Something like that xD
And do not PM your tutor to check the thread you have UNLESS they have not posted back in 3 days. Only then may you do that, we don't wanna bother them so only ask once every 3 days.
Hope I cleared everything that needed to be cleared up. Happy roleplaying!
